Threatened species brochures
PeeKdesigns was engaged by Hunter Local Land Services to redesign and expand upon their threatened species brochures about the Koala and Manning River turtle. These brochures are 6 pages, with the print version folded to A4.
The aim of the brochures is to raise community awareness of the species and support community action for conservation. The content includes:
- identify where these species are found in the Hunter and Mid Coast regions
- how to spot them and identify them correctly (this is more important for the turtle)
- why it’s important to protect them
- understanding their threats
- report sightings through citizen science programs
- provide actions that community members can take to protect and conserve their habitat.
This project included:
- Graphic design to adhere to the NSW branding guidelines
- Writing and editing new content
- Photography
- Preparing files for print and web accessibility.
